2011 APG Awards Party
Friday, May 18, 2012
Dinner at 5:30 PM
Program at 7:00 PM
The wait is over! The much anticipated features of our newly formatted Safety Drawing and the 2012 prize list have been finalized. This year there will be no distinction between auto-safety and field-safety prizes. Instead, ten total prizes will be awarded, and ticket holders will be invited to put their tickets toward the prize or prizes of their choice! As in previous years, employees will receive one ticket for each full year, consecutive to the current year, they have worked for APG, incurred no points on their driver license, and had no at-fault accidents in a company vehicle. MVR records used will be from January 1, 2005, so the highest number of auto-safety tickets possible will be seven. In addition, field employees will receive one ticket for each full year, consecutive to the current year, they have remained injury-free on the job while working for APG.
Ten bins will be displayed, corresponding to each of the ten prizes. Ticket holders may place their ticket(s) in one or more bins of their choice, depending on which prize(s) they want a better chance of winning. Please note that an employee may not win more than one prize in the drawing. Here are the ten prizes . . .

The APG Electric 10th Annual Family Fishing Tournament
Saturday, October 8, 2011
The fall winds blew twenty to twenty-five knots during our eleventh annual fishing tournament on October 8th. But it did not discourage fifty-eight anglers from participating in the fun filled event.
Brady's Backyard BBQ catered our fishing tournament and the food was excellent.

The APG Electric 28th Annual Family Picnic
Saturday, November 12, 2011
Busch Gardens
Saturday, November 12th was a picture-perfect day for the APG Electric 28th Annual Family Picnic at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay®. Our day of fun started when the park opened at 9 am and our employees and their families were invited to enjoy an all-day adventure before our APG exclusive evening event began.
Our group was easily recognizable by our cheetah-emblazoned blue t-shirts, commemorating Busch Gardens' newest roller coaster attraction, Cheetah Hunt. Throughout the day, we enjoyed exploring the many rides, shows, animal attractions, and shopping and dining options that Busch Gardens has to offer.
As evening fell and most park guests were being ushered toward the exits, the APG Electric partygoers were just getting started. We made our way past the new cheetah sanctuary and Cheetah Run to the site of this year's dinner, the Crown Colony Restaurant which overlooks the wildlife and wild terrain of the Serengeti Plain. There, we dined on a delicious buffet of picnic favorites including burgers, hot dogs, salads, baked beans, and desserts, and enjoyed chatting with coworkers and families.
After dinner, Busch Gardens belonged to the APG team alone, and we moved on to a street party in the Cheetah Hunt Plaza, where we were entertained by a DJ and enjoyed dancing, practicing Hula-Hoop skills, and playing a variety of party games. We also enjoyed special visits with Sesame Street® Safari of Fun characters like Cookie Monster, Elmo, Grover, Bert and Ernie.
The ultimate picnic experience for many attendees was Cheetah Hunt. This thrill machine takes riders through a wild adventure, simulating a cheetah on a hunt for his prey, over towering rises, breathtaking plunges, and a trio of launches at speeds pushing 60 mph. Because we had the roller coaster all to ourselves for our after-hours event, many guests took the opportunity to ride Cheetah Hunt multiple times, something not typically possible during theme park visits because of large crowds at the premier attractions. This was an APG employee "special opportunity" made available to us alone, much to the delight of our attendees.
We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to "see the world through the eyes of a cheetah" during a ride on Cheetah Hunt, and that you and your family had an awesome time at the 28th Annual APG Electric Family Picnic at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay!®
