APG Has Your BIM Solution
APG is pleased to announce that our Engineering Division has successfully integrated BIM into the list of services we provide to our customers. BIM is an acronym for Building Information Modeling, which is a powerful technology that allows you to fully construct a 3-dimensional, virtual building before actual construction has even begun. In its simplest form it is a 3-dimensional model of the electrical installation, with powerful tools such as Collision Detection and Component Visualization. APG is proficient in utilizing AutoCad, Revit MEP and Navisworks software to ensure a cohesive project with all disciplines.
Our BIM modelers are APG electricians certified in AutoCAD in addition to their BIM experience. They have worked directly with our project superintendents for many years, enabling them to quickly produce accurate installation drawings.
It is noteworthy that significant costs are involved with any BIM project, yet these up front costs can be off-set by the even greater potential savings in construction costs. Additionally, BIM can be utilized in varying levels of complexity. The level selected will affect the overall up-front costs and should be weighed carefully at the very beginning of the project.
